The Ministry of Environment (MoE): A man who shot and killed a hornbill posted on Facebook has come forward to apologize to the public and has signed a ceasefire agreement with the Ministry of Environment on the afternoon of May 13. 2020.

Mr. Kruy Chamroeun, who confessed to shooting a large hornbill during his tour to Anlong 9th waterfall resort in Bokor National Park in Kampot province. He wrote in his letter of apology to the public that “ he recognized the fact which the hornbill was killed in a nine-story waterfall in Techo Development Village, Chhuk district, Kampot province. "I promise to return the archery weapon
to Ministry of Environment” he said.
 
Ministry of Environment has called on people who visit natural resorts not to be involved in wildlife crime and not to eat wild meat and join protect wildlife conservation for eco-tourism and biodiversity and ecology in Cambodia.



Ministry of Environment (MoE) is searching for a man who shot dead endanger Hornbill in Cambodia to filing and stop killing the endanger spacies, according to Angkor Post Media. 
Recently, on Facebook social media shared the story of a man who shot the mammal and carried in one hand showing to audian on Facebook. After seeing the case, the Ministry of Environment is searching for that man for constract. 
Just remind that according to Wikipedia had listed that due to habitat loss and hunting in some areas, the great hornbill is evaluated as vulnerable on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. (uplisted from near threatened in 2018). It is listed in Appendix I of CITES.
 
The great hornbill (Buceros bicornis) also known as the concave-casqued hornbill, great Indian hornbill or great pied hornbill, is one of the larger members of the hornbill family. It is found in the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia. Its impressive size and colour have made it important in many tribal cultures and rituals. The great hornbill is long-lived, living for nearly 50 years in captivity. It is predominantly frugivorous, but is an opportunist and will prey on small mammals, reptiles and birds.

On Sunday, October 06, 2019, according to a Facebook post with titled Mon Rithy Chey Resort, the residence of HE Dr. Mong Reththy, announced the opening for Khmer and Foreigners to the zoo. This zoo was made up of many species. The site is located in Stung commune and Sen Dey commune, Samrong Tong district, Kampong Speu province.
 

 

One Python has been resued from fire burnt in flood forest in the area of Sdey Krom community fisheries. Mr. Hor Samat, the head of community said that he and the patrol team had been inspecting the floodplain's fire at Daun Om .  He found a python weighing around 13kg, which was fleeing from bushfire. He took the Python to release in his fish conservation.

BULAWAYO, ZIMBABWE — An animal orphanage in Zimbabwe is one of the organizations leading efforts to ensure poaching and development do not wipe out the wildlife of the southern African nation. About half an hour drive southeast of Bulawayo is a special orphanage caring for abandoned and injured animals. The Chipangali Wildlife Orphanage is home to 25 animal species, some endangered, some rescued from poachers. Vivian and Paddy Wilson established the orphanage in 1973 and a second generation now runs it.
